Chantilly Real Estate
Split between both Fairfax and Loudoun County in Northern Virginia, Chantilly is an unincorporated community with just over 45,000 residents. As a bedroom community of Washington, D.C., Chantilly offers residents a slower pace than that of the nation’s Capitol, but easy access to both the larger city and points beyond as Chantilly is the home of Washington Dulles International Airport.

Like all of Northern Virginia, Chantilly is steeped in our nation’s rich history. Chantilly was the site of the September 1, 1862, Battle of Chantilly, during the American Civil War. This history is preserved in a five acre county park, visited by many American history enthusiasts. From the past to the now, Chantilly attracts many to visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, an annex of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum located at Washington Dulles. The center provides visitors with behind-the-scenes looks at how aircraft and spacecraft are carefully restored and preserved. And while many visitors come to see Chantilly’s notable attractions, many also return to find a new home due to the area’s incredible real estate market.
Living in Chantilly means that you have quick access to D.C., which is only 24 miles away, and a plethora of recreational activities that are harder to find in larger urban areas. Golfers delight at the many options to perfect their swing in the Chantilly area, and the same beauty that can be found on the course surrounds Chantilly. Four distinctive seasons, from sparkling white snow in the winter, bright greens in the spring, warm air in the summer, and the stunning colors of the fall, make Chantilly is picturesque place to live, work and play. Chantilly is home to two distinctive golf courses, the South Riding Golf Club and the Pleasant Valley Golf Club both voted to be in the top 100 courses to play in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Chantilly is also extremely family friendly. Chantilly’s schools are excellent and caring and kind neighbors are part of life here. Local restaurants feature everything your palette could crave, and shopping options range from large retail stores to unique shops that are sure to have something special that would be perfect as a gift for a friend, family member and even yourself. The neighborhoods in Chantilly are often considered communities of their own, and most feature newly constructed homes. The planned development of South Riding is a terrific example of how a community atmosphere is created. Featuring organized clubs for recreation and sporting events, amenities like sporting fields, swimming pools, community centers, tennis courts and more, South Riding is an extremely popular real estate choice in Chantilly.
