Every May I sit down to write Homeward Bound Newsletter, I write about Mother’s Day. And why not? It marks such a special day for so many special people! My memories of my Mom include her always telling me to do this or to do that, or to not do this or that… I may not have been able to recognize this when I was young, but upon reflecting now, I can recall so much valuable advice from her. Looking back, I can say that she was, and still is, an incredibly wise woman.

Time truly does reveal just how much every caring Mother is a wise woman, so I think it’s very easy to see why we carve out such a special day every year to acknowledge Moms. My mom is my hero — I have had the pleasure of working alongside her since 2006, and she has taught me SO much about leadership, compassion, and, of course, real estate! She is the founder of Reynolds EmpowerHome Team and has carried the business with such grace over the years that our whole team calls her “Team Mom”!

And while I have your attention, we are still on a mission to raise $1,000,000 for Children’s National Hospital, Fisher House Foundation, and MORE.

Children’s National Hospital is so dear to my heart. My daughter Olivia has childhood hearing loss, and the specialist for my daughter’s rare case is at Children’s National. Every time I go see her doctor, I look around and I see parents that are distraught. I see children that are literally fighting for their lives. The truth is that Children’s National Hospital only survives on donations and gives back to our community by literally saving children’s lives.

The Fisher House Foundation is another of our Worthy Causes, which provides housing for military families when their loved ones are getting medical treatment. Fisher House knows that family is the best medicine for our heroes, our veterans, that have served our country, and these heroes should not be pulled away from their family when they’re getting medical treatment. So the Fisher House provides housing for them and their family so they can stay together.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Raving Fans who continue to support us and introduce us to family and friends who are looking to sell a home. It’s because of you that we’re able to donate to Worthy Causes and impact even more families.
