We hope this letter finds you in good spirits! As 2024 is rolling in, we wanted to take a moment to wish you and your loved ones a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This year has been quite a ride, hasn’t it? Navigating the twists and turns of 2023 has been a challenge, but we love a challenge because it’s an opportunity for growth! This year we helped so many families navigate the real estate market through uncertainty and high inflation.
We shared so many tears of joy with you through tough negotiations and the victories we shared were incredible, they made us remember why we became realtors in the first place! Sharing this journey with you this year was truly rewarding. Even when living through a time when ‘normal’ became a moving target, we stood firm in our commitment to help families find their dream homes and achieve their real estate goals.
As we reflect on this past year, we have our Amazing Client Family, Raving Fans, and community, people like YOU, to thank for supporting our team and allowing us to impact so many families. Over 661 families trusted us to guide them and their introductions through the home selling and buying process! We truly are humbled by this and are so thankful to have had the opportunity to serve them. We welcome each and every one of you to the Reynolds EmpowerHome Team Family!
One of the most important things to us over the years has been our team’s continued growth and expansion to ensure our clients get extraordinary service. Seeking out talent to add to our already stellar team is a top priority! The extension of many real estate teams can mean a decline in client service, but that is NOT the case with Reynolds EmpowerHome Team. As we often say, “Teams Win!” In addition to Sarah & Debbie, the team is growing and our remarkable team includes Elizabeth Falcon, Carria Reynolds, Lindsey Fisher, Amador Santalla, Andie Cunningham, Arlene Layfield, Bob Lamborn, Brittney Jones, Carissalyn Tajalle, Cathy McNair, Conrad D’Haiti, Dawn Rhein, Derek Hoffman, Dorothy Roney, Fereshta Bakhtari, Jake Knight, Jennifer Dennis, Jenny Nalley, Jesses Griswold, Jim Gilbert, Joel Wagner, John Flynn, John Hutchinson, Kanwar Sodhi, M.D., Kim Glassie, Kristen Harris Brooks, Kristin Woolston, Ligia Zuleta, Linda LaFontaine, Lisa Thurston, Melissa Luna, Melissa Melendez, Michele Bonner, Mike McCormick, Milos Mikovic, Nancy Gabro, Patrick Ferguson, Reema Wadhwannia, Spencer Pearson, Stevia Lemons-Carter, Tatiana Rodriguez, and Tia Richards.
As we prepare for amazing things ahead, there are a few key moments from this year that stand out to us:
- On the top of the list is YOU and the HUNDREDS of introductions you gave to us. Many families trusted us to help sell their homes and because of this, we have continued to support Children’s National Hospital, Fisher House Foundation, local schools, sports teams, and more, with over $291,000 given in donations to worthy causes this year, all in the name of you, our Client Family!
- Our team of 19 runners ran in the Army 10-Miler Race as “Team Fisher House” and raised over $36,395 for the Fisher House Foundation, thanks to a donation match from Debbie and Sarah! This is over 5 times the amount you helped us raise last year! We are so excited to continue that growth and give back to this amazing worthy cause!
- We continued to support our local schools with funding for student events and sports programs. We also gave out $5,000 in scholarships to local students at these schools to kickstart their higher education goals! We loved reading all of your entries in our scholarship writing contest, you captured the essence of our community perfectly!
- Our team supported Feed a Veteran 5k, an amazing worthy cause dedicated to providing warm meals to homeless veterans in our community. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to give to these families and help them through this challenging time.
- We have continued our expansion throughout the DC Metro market and have found astonishing agents in the DMV area that uphold Reynolds EmpowerHome Team values while serving our clients!
- Speaking of expanding… with your help and the introductions you give, we are continuing to grow and impact more families! As our team has grown we have the opportunity and privilege to impact more families like yours, we are so honored to empower families and our community through one of the most significant parts of life—their home!
- Inc. Magazine recently revealed that we are ranked number 1,943 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies! We are honored to be recognized alongside so many renowned small businesses and are blessed that our life-long vision to make a massive impact on the world is coming to fruition!
On the family front, Sarah and George are filled with gratitude as they mark another year of marriage and two decades of being together – time certainly flies when you’re having fun 😉 This year has unquestionably been the busiest one for their family! Olivia, now in the 5th grade, is their rising volleyball star, and they couldn’t be prouder of her for venturing out of her comfort zone and exploring a new passion. Supporting her on and off the court has been a highlight and Sarah and George can’t wait to see what’s next! Kaitlyn, their middle child, loves ALL things crafts, art, and legos! Her very strategic brain continues to surprise us daily, and her remarkable heart for her family SHINES! Now in 3rd grade, she is expressing an interest in joining a sports club, and they’re excited to see what she chooses. Lincoln started K-4 this year, he is attending a Christian Montessori school and truly loves all the time he gets working with his hands. He has captured Sarah’s heart (he gets it from his daddy ;)) with his care for “mommy’s sweet hugs” or the times he gets to lead Sarah in dancing to a love song! It’s crazy at the age of 4, he already wants to be the one to lead in dancing together! Sarah, George, and the girls eagerly look forward to coming home and hearing about his school adventures. The highlight for the Oji family was having George’s parents visit from Nigeria. They were here for 6 amazing weeks! The memories, wisdom, and daily encouragement they shared will forever be etched in the family’s collective memory, and they eagerly await the next time they can be together. Even the girls had the opportunity to learn how to prepare some delicious Igbo dishes – YUM!! They are excited for what 2024 brings for our family, and can’t wait for more family time and memories being made!
This year brought Debbie face to face with having a multi-level fusion on her spine after several failed attempts at a less invasive procedure in 2022. She is so grateful for significant improvement and is on her way to being able to handle more activity in her life. Her 9 grandchildren are growing and their interests are changing! This year Olivia (10) and Salima (8) have gotten really into sports, Salima was interested in gymnastics for a bit but switched to try soccer. Camden (8) is showing interest in music and his little brother Caleb (5) is at his hip all the time, he wants to do everything that Camden does! Katlyn (8) loves to swim and is very strategic when playing games! Elijah (6) played soccer for a bit but sadly had that cut short with a fracture in his arm. Lincoln (4) played T-Ball this fall, he’ll knock it out of the park in no time ;). Cole (3) is a jokester and just loves to make everyone laugh! Isaiah (3) absolutely loves to play, put a ball in front of him and he’s off to the races! Debbie feels so blessed to be able to spend time with all of them living close by. She’s also in what is called the “squeezed generation”, she’s navigating spending time with her Father-In-Law Alfred Reynolds (92) in assisted living and her mother Etheleen Howell (90) who is doing an amazing job maintaining her place with the help of Debbie’s sister Sandra in Fredericksburg, VA.
We pray that 2024 brings blessing and prosperity to you and your family! We are committed to helping even more families reach their real estate goals, but we can’t do this without the help and support of our Forever Clients, friends, and family! We would be honored if you introduced us to anyone you know who is considering making a move in 2024. It would mean so much to us to be able to serve more neighbors! They say, “To whom much is given, much is required,” and we have been given so much! Your introductions help us to return the blessings we have been given to monumental Worthy Causes, including Children’s National Hospital, Fisher House Foundation, and many more! It is our greatest honor to support causes bigger than ourselves, and the humility it brings our team is a fulfillment like no other! In 2024, we will continue to support these Worthy Causes that are dear to our hearts, as well as the community that we call home, thanks to your business and all the introductions you continue to give us!
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a great start to the New Year. We wish you the best in 2024 and would love to hear from you if you need anything or if you have any exciting life events to share!
Here to serve,
Sarah & Debbie Reynolds
