It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…a Metro Train. It’s happening!! Phase 2 of the Silver line has reached a huge milestone. As of right now, there are Metro trains in Loudoun County. Construction is still underway as the tracks make their way to their intended destination Dulles Airport. Although there have been setbacks and issues the community can now see tangible results of months of hard work. The Loudoun Gateway Station now has trains in their station and will do so up until the Phase 2 launch. They will be testing these trains throughout the stations and tracks for the next few months in efforts to open next summer! So don’t be surprised to look up and see trains moving on the tracks.
This will help alleviate the huge traffic problem that exists throughout both Loudoun and Fairfax County. It will grant easy access to and from the airport and should continue to help bring new residents and businesses. It will also have a positive impact on the real estate in and around the Metro Stop locations.
