On Saturday, November 23rd, head over to George Mason University for a Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show! Starting at 10 am, The Northern Virginia Mineral Club Inc. (sponsored by HMU’s Department of Atmospheric Oceanic and Earth Sciences) is hosting over twenty dealers with gems, minerals, and fossils for sale. Hidden Oaks Nature Center is opening its doors to teach pre-schoolers about the sky! The sky fascinates both the young and old– your child will explore the wonders above with a naturalist with night sky activities, stories, and a craft.
