On Saturday, November 23rd, head over to George Mason University for a Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show! Starting at 10 am, The Northern Virginia Mineral Club Inc. (sponsored by HMU’s Department of Atmospheric Oceanic and Earth Sciences) is hosting over twenty dealers with gems, minerals, and fossils for sale. There will also be mineral demonstrations, exhibits, door prizes, and kid’s activities. There will be mini-mines set up for kids to dig in and get free minerals! Get your tickets HERE.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is opening its doors to teach pre-schoolers about the sky!
